Meksyk wygrał z Urugwajem 3:1 (1:0) w meczu pierwszej kolejki grupy C Copa America 2016. Reprezentacja Meksyku komplet punktów wywalczyła dzięki znakomitej końcówce, w której gole strzelali Rafael Marquez oraz Hector Herrera. Obie ekipy kończyły spotkanie w dziesiątkę po czerwonych kartkach dla Matiasa Vecino i Andresa Guardado.
