W hicie 17. kolejki Serie A Juventus Turyn skromnie, bo 1:0 pokonał AS Romę. Zwycięską bramkę w 14. minucie zdobył niezawodny Gonzalo Higuain. Roma mimo ambitnej walki nie zdołała zdobyć wyrównującej bramki i musiała uznać wyższość aktualnych mistrzów Włoch. Wojciech Szczęsny udanymi interwencjami uchronił rzymian przed bardziej dotkliwą porażką. Juventusu powiększył swoją przewagę nad Romą do siedmiu punktów.
